Today starts the last weekend of our fabulous exhibition at Bâtiment 4 in Esch/Alzette!

You can still discover my installation on the 1st floor, take a minute to find hidden details and dive into the atmosphere. The resonance has been wonderful so far, we are hoping for a few hundred visitors more this weekend. Do drop in, but be aware there might be a queue during peak hours (3-6 pm) due to limited number of people allowed inside the building. 

From November 13th until December 6th you are welcome to drop in at the group exhibition at Bâtiment 4 in Esch-sur-Alzette. The former nursery school and future capital of culture building will temporarily host over 100 artists who transform its rooms and walls into a giant art walk. I have a small room of my own for a new installation and will be happy to chat with you on one of the open weekends (Fr-Sun 2-9pm). More details on the flyer or on the Facebook page!

Group exhibition work in progress !

Unfortunately our representation of the piece "den Aaron an d Geheimnis vun der Fieder" which was planned for the end of October at Kulturhaus Niederanven had to be rescheduled due to the Covid situation delaying reservations for school classes.  

The rescheduled dates will be in January with a public representation for all ages on the 10th January at 10:30 in the morning. I hope to see you there and will share some pictures of the show and accompanying exhibition of the originals!

Grab your children on the 1st December and come to Ettelbruck !

At the Centre des arts pluriels Ettelbruck (CAPE) at 4pm you will be able to see a lovely production for which I created some illustrations using photograms (cameraless photographs).

«Den Aaron an d Geheimnis vun der Fieder » is a classical concert for children guided by the story of little bird Aaron who is just a little different from other birds. I had the pleasure of working together with the wonderful Jenny Spielmann who wrote the storyline of little Aaron.

In the entry hall to the event you will find a little exhibition put together by me, showing the originals and visualising the technique used.

Tomorrow is the official opening of US photographer Mary Frey's exhibition "Real Life Dramas".

I had the pleasure to work as assistant to the curators Norbert Moos (Forum für Fotografie, Cologne) and Michèle Walerich (Centre national de l'audiovisuel) for this wonderful exhibition.

Next to some relaxing, meditative, spooky music compositions, you can see an exhibition by Irène Weis and the complete comedy under water series by Anne Klein and me. Additionally you will be able to meet musician Caroline Mirkes, who composed the intro jingle for our series.

It's time again to show some new video work!
What could I possibly do, well I thought let's do something spontaneously that hasn't really been done like that before, such as underwater .... comedy!

Together with stand-up comedian and actress Anne Klein, I created a mini-series of short underwater funnies. How does that look? Well there's a small preview for you here,  but you can find out more this Thursday when 6 short episodes premiere at the Openscreen event as part of the Luxembourg City Film Festival.  In a few weeks we'll have an online release with one additional special episode.

Recently the newly created municipality Mompach-Rosport in Luxembourg acquired one of my artworks as part of the celebrations of the communal fusion and inauguration of a new education and sports centre, where my series Klang und Stille (sound and silence) from 2015 is now on display. The three photos of the series were shot just a few kilometers away at a source feeding two water basins. Separated by a bridge, one of them lies still while the other is troubled constantly by a small waterfall. Underwater different worlds seem to merge together into a timeless play of nature.

From the 1st of September until the 3rd, you have the opportunity to see some of my video and photography works live, including work not shown online. I am one of six artists exhibiting together in Herborn (Luxembourg) on thoses days. The small village's Hierber Scheier, will be venue to a very diverse exhibtion of local artists.
I am looking forward to see you at the private view on Friday, 1st of September from 5 pm onwards.

Place of cultural highlights the former industrial site in Dudelange also houses the CNA (centre national de l'audiovisuel) and  The Bitter Years permanent exhibition in the former water tower. Right there I just took up a freelance job to give tours trough the exhibition and information on the exhibition at their events, such as the SoSoSummer-Events in August. Each Thursday you get not only free entry and multiple screens with photographs and videos from the CNA's national archives but also music, food and drink. Do drop in to enjoy the cultural program or simply the atmosphere.

After my videowork the art of movement underwater was shown at the openscreen events before, it was recently reselected to be reshown in their 'Best of 2014-2017' event, at the CNA (centre national de l'audiovisuel) among some other fantastic video works, find the list on their website; openscreen.lu
The event took place at the Pomhouse in Dudelange, right next to Edward Steichen's famous exhibition 'The Bitter Years' installed there permanently. This is also the site on which I recently took up work as a freelance guide, more infos to come!

A delightful encounter this weekend while recording some natural water video footage for a future project with the aid of my photographer friend Raisan Hameed, whom I thank for the photo of me doing this veeery hard work ;)

Meet me at GAP GAP Friday night, the Leipzig Gallery will host an exhibition with large scale cyanotypes by artist Michael Holzwarth, for which I had the pleasure of contributing a text about his artworks in the accompanying exhibition booklet.
